OASIS SPRINGS CHILDEN'S MINISTRY(2630)

Safe Today, Impact for the future
Oasis springs children’s home is a church based Christian charitable organization registerd in the UK and South Africa (UK Charity registration NO. 1133614) which is dedicated to helping the vulnerable, aids orphans and homeless children of the Western Cape (Cape Town) and surrounding areas of South Africa. This is a cross cultural centre where children lives would be impacted for eternity. Oasis springs is created and formed for the purpose of providing hope, life and love to orphans and vulnerable children.
Objective
“The relief of financial hardship and sickness, the advancement of education and religion and the preservation of good health amongst children living in Africa, particularly but not exclusively orphaned, abandoned and disabled children, in such ways as the trustees shall determine, including the provision of facilities for their care, education and health.”

Vision
Our vision is to see these children restored into a place of permanency where they can identify themselves as significant and develop into everything that God has for them. South Africans have responded well to vulnerable children through cluster homes and by fostering and adopting children. However the demand is always growing at a greater rate than the supply of assistance. Statistics show that at the current rate “18 million children in Africa could be orphaned by Aids by the end of 2010” (UNICEF). Oasis children’s home are trying to provide meaning and sustainability for vulnerable children by providing a safe place for them. It’s our prayer to purchase homes and places where we hope to see the children placed in permanent loving homes.
Mission
Our mission is to provide a permanent and safety place in a Christ-centred family environment where each child is cared for by specified care givers. We aim to care for orphaned and vulnerable children from birth until they finish their education. We will look for wonderful volunteers, carers and staff who will sow their lives into seeing those children became whole individuals in order to be an impact on their generation.
Changing children’s lives by helping them:
- Physically
- Emotionally
- Spiritually
- Uplifting children and communities through life, career and business skills
- Reaching all children without prejudice showing the compassion of Jesus Christ
- Honour praise and worship their creator

Our Ethos: Oasis Springs Children's Home core values
Our ethos reflects our status as a church based Christian organization within the context of child-centred development. Oasis children’s home has the following core values developed by our church:
- Christ-centred
- To act as an agent for change in Christ
- Humanity and child dignity
- Enablement
- Sustainability

Get involved
- We know that ultimately it’s the heart that makes a home, but beauty definitely adds value to lives.
- We strongly believe that children deserve so much more than ‘’below average’’ in terms of living standards therefore we aim to ‘’think big’’ in revamping lives through Oasis Springs Children’s Home.
- The aim is not to just alter one part of their lives but rather to genuinely uproot all negativity and hopelessness that has accumulated in their past experiences.
- This includes getting involved as individuals or even getting other organisations involved.
Carers
We are looking to pay staff in the long run, these are staff with caring skills and qualities we will need.
Volunteers
- Volunteers will play a vital role at Oasis Children’s Home. With different ideas and perspectives every volunteer will add momentum to the moving forward of the home. We honestly will need volunteers from time to time at the home for we cannot do without their willing hearts and hands.
- We may challenge people to come from around the world for long and short term periods, to help us with anything from building, gardening and any projects within the organisation.
