We are a Provider for Premarital Education in the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Fl.
If you are preparing for your new marriage or if your marriage relationship is struggling and needs repairing and strengthening, there is help for you. You may have struggles in communication, conflict resolution, roles, sexuality, finances or spiritual beliefs. When working with couples I use many different very successful tools to either prepare them for marriage or enrich and strengthen their present marriage. Below is a description of one of the tools we use to help couples grow together.
The PREPARE/ENRICH Program is used for premarital preparation and marriage enrichment. PREPARE/ENRICH includes a comprehensive couple assessment along with feedback using skill building exercises.
PREPARE/ENRICH is a customized couple assessment completed online that identifies a couple's strength and growth areas. Based on a couple's assessment results, a trained facilitator provides 6-8 feedback sessions in which the facilitator helps the couple discuss and understand their results as they are taught proven relationship skills.
Over 2.5 million couples have taken the PREPARE/ENRICH Program since it began in 1980.
There are several goals of the PREPARE/ENRICH Program. In order to achieve these goals there are exercises designed to help couples improve their relationship skills. The program helps couples:
Explore strength and growth areas
Strengthen communication skills
Identify and manage major stressors
Resolve conflict using the Ten Step Model
Develop a more balanced relationship
Explore family of origin issues
Discuss financial planning and budgeting
Establish personal, couple and family goals
Understand and appreciate personality differences
PREPARE has validity in that it is able to distinguish the premarital couples that get divorced from those that are happily married with about 80-85% accuracy.
Our ministry is a registered provider, recognized and recommended by the 15th Judicial Circuit Court, for the premarital preparation course. Couples who take this course will get a discount when they apply for their marriage license.
